(Nashville, Tenn.) December 3, 2014 - The Americana Music Association has announced its year-end Top 10 and Top 100 Albums of the Year. These are based on the records reported to the Americana Airplay Chart during the period of December 2, 2013 through December 1, 2014.
The Americana Music Association announced today its first annual fundraising drive, which is now open and will run through December 20. Proceeds will go towards meeting the increased demands of the Association's growth and to lay the groundwork for an endowment to continue the work of advocating for the authentic voice of American roots music around the world.
Nashville, TN - November 11, 2014 - Jackson Browne, Rosanne Cash, Loretta Lynn, Patty Griffin & Robert Plant, Jason Isbell, The Milk Carton Kids and Sturgill Simpson are just a few of the artists appearing on “ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2014” - sponsored by Nissan and Tennessee Tourism. The program will begin airing on November 22nd on PBS stations nationwide - check your local listings.
Americana’s 13th Annual Honors & Awards, presented by Nissan, was webcast on NPR.organd audio-streamed via Folk Alley and Sirius/XM’s “Outlaw Country.”  PBS will broadcast an edited version of the show as an Austin City Limits special, ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival in November, 2014 and —  for the first time —  Australia’s County Music Channel (CMC) will also carry the show.

The recently formed Americana Music Association UK (AMA-UK) will present some of the very best of Americana music, featuring top artists from North America, including Laura Cantrell, Sturgill Simpson and Austin Lucas along with UK based bands Police Dog Hogan, Emily Barker and Hatful of Rain and The Vagaband.
