COVID-19 in Our Community

// 3.23.20

As we continue to witness the global effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the music industry, we wanted to update you on resources to help both industry professionals and artists whose livelihoods have been negatively impacted by this issue as well as the current status of our upcoming events.

How You Can Help:

  • If you live in the U.S., you can urge Congress to be mindful of the American artistic community while they plan to create relief packages for citizens in need. Write to Congress Here

How to Get Help:

  • Our friends at The Recording Academy® and MusiCares® have set up a designated relief fund to help those who've been affected by COVID-19. If you or someone you know has been severely affected, you can also apply for assistance and potentially receive support. Donate + Apply for Assistance Here

Updates on Our Events:

  • As you may know, we are currently in the midst of accepting nomination considerations for the 2020 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony now through April 1. The unveiling of this year's nominees will take place in mid-May and the ceremony is scheduled for September 16 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

  • At this time, there are no plans to postpone nor cancel AMERICANAFEST 2020, which is slated to take place on Sept. 15-20 in Nashville, TN and features the Americana Honors & Awards during the festival and conference week. We are committed to providing the best experience possible for all attendees that week while keeping everyone's health top of mind. We will keep you updated as we approach the event.

  • We have postponed our Americana Spring Celebration fundraiser at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN until further notice.

  • We have canceled the Australian Americana Music Honours program which was scheduled to take place at Byron Bay Bluesfest on April 11.

While we are living in an unprecedented time, we know that the power of music is a unifying force and encourage you all to support artists in the community by purchasing their music, shopping for merch and streaming their virtual concerts.
