Americana Congratulates Jason Isbell, Mavis Staples, & Other GRAMMY® Winners

The Americana Music Association wishes to congratulate Jason Isbell and Mavis Staples on their GRAMMY® wins last night. Isbell took home hardware in the Best American Roots Song category for “24 Frames” and the Best Americana Album category for Something More Than Free, which was produced by the inimitable Dave CobbMs. Staples took home the trophy in the Best American Roots Performance category for “See That My Grave Is Kept Clean.” 
Other winners in the American Roots field include The SteelDrivers’ The Muscle Shoals Recordings in the Best Bluegrass Album category, Buddy Guy’s Born To Play Guitar in the Best Blues Album category, Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn’s eponymous album in the Best Folk Album category, and Jon Cleary’s Go Go Juice in the Best Regional Roots Album category. A special congratulations goes to The Fairfield Four for Still Rockin’ My Soul, which took home the GRAMMY® for Best Roots Gospel AlbumClick here to see a full list of nominees in the American Roots field.
