Americana Launches Grassroots Marketing Initiative #RoadToAmericanaFest

Artist Led Community Unites to Promote September's Festival and Conference
Celebrating Creative Vision, Innovative Business, and Signature Independent Spirit

The Americana Music Association is known for the independent spirit of its artist community, so it’s no surprise that a global, grassroots marketing campaign would point to the 17th annual Festival and Conference held in Nashville, September 20-25, 2016. 

The initiative, #roadtoamericanafest, is actively engaging artists, independent radio, retail, and publications in the promotion of AmericanaFest through their respective channels. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #roadtoamericanafest on social media to track and promote performances and other related events.  

The campaign will run from July through September with initial support coming from artists including Bonnie Raitt, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, and Wynonna & The Big Noise in the USA, Shane Nicholson in Australia, and My Bubba from Iceland/Sweden. 

With support from the Tennessee Department of Tourism and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, a special #roadtoamericanafest contest has been launched with a grand prize of a “Fly Away” experience to attend the critically acclaimed boutique music festival and the Americana Honors & Awards show September 21 in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Fly Away Winners will receive:
