The Americana Music Association wishes to congratulate Jason Isbell and Mavis Staples on their GRAMMY® wins last night. Isbell took home hardware for Best American Roots Song category for “24 Frames” and Best Americana Album category for Something More Than Free, which was produced by the inimitable Dave Cobb. Ms. Staples took home the trophy in the Best American Roots Performance category for “See That My Grave Is Kept Clean.” 
 
The UK Americana Awards, slated to be an annual event, closed out two days of festivities at this year's Americana Music Association UK conference.

The Americana Music Association has announced its year-end Top 10 and Top 100 Albums of the Year. These are based on the records reported to the Americana Airplay Chart during the period of December 2, 2014 through November 30, 2015.

The Americana Music Association is proud to announce a special broadcast in Australia of performance highlights from this year’s Americana Honors & Awards.  The program will premier on Australia’s Country Music Channel (CMC) at 8pm on Wednesday 25, November with encore broadcasts each day until 30 November.

 


Nashville, TN and Austin, TX—November 19, 2015—Austin City Limits (ACL) heads to Nashville for a special broadcast featuring performance highlights from this year’s Americana Honors & Awards, which was made possible thanks to underwriting from Nissan and the Tennessee Department of Tourism. ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2015 premieres November 21st on PBS and delivers sparkling performances that represent the genre’s diversity and excellence. 



 

 
Americana Music Association Wraps Another Successful Festival & Conference with our 16th annual AmericanaFest coming to an exciting end! 
 
Hosted by Jim Lauderdale, the show kicked off the 16th Annual Americana Music Festival and Conference, presented by Nissan, and featured an all-star house band -- led by Buddy Miller -- including legendary musicians, Dominic Davis, Chad Cromwell, Fats Kaplin, Ian Fitchuk, the McCrary Sisters and Bill Payne, legendary founding member of Little Feat.
The Americana Music Association reveals the initial presenter and performer lineup for its 14th annual Honors & Awards Show. As anticipated, the list reflects Americana's "spirit of eclecticism" (New York Times) through its diverse lineup. 
The one-day celebration of roots-inspired music will feature the legendary Loretta Lynn, Americana stalwart Steve Earle, revered acoustic duo Gillian Welch and special guests Tift Merritt, Eric Heywood, Nikki Lane, Valerie June, Emmy Rose Russell and more. For the first time, the Ascend Amphitheater, Nashville’s newest venue on the Riverfront, will feature two stages in a festival like setting.
