Last night the Americana Music Association was honored by Nashville's Metro Council with a special resolution drafted and proposed by Councilwoman Nancy VanReece, Councilwoman Mina Johnson, and Councilman Jeff Syracuse. Resolution No. RS2016-410 recognizes the significant cultural contributions and tourism impact of the Americana Music Association, its volunteer Board of Directors, and Executive Director Jed Hilly.
Austin City Limits (ACL) returns to Nashville for a special broadcast featuring performance highlights from this year’s Americana Honors & Awards. ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2016 premieres November 19th on PBS and delivers dazzling performances that represent the genre’s diversity and excellence. The music-filled hour features many of the night's award-winners and honorees, including buzzed about newcomers and icons who helped define the genre; among them: George Strait, Margo Price, Jason Isbell, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Weir, Alison Krauss, Steve Earle, Parker Millsap, Dwight Yoakam, William Bell, and Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell. The special airs November 19thon PBS at 8pm CT/9pm ET.

Two of the most talked-about roots music artists of the past year — Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton — highlighted the eclectic mix of honorees, presenters and performers at the 15th Annual Americana Music Association Honors & Awards show Wednesday night at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.
The Americana Music Association is proud to partner with our friends at the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (Studio Oklahoma), the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts and Culture as well as the Woody Guthrie Center to present a prolific array of panels, musical events, parties and special programs at AmericanaFest, September 20-25.
A vibrant mix of musical icons and electrifying newcomers make up the initial list of performers and presenters for the 15th annual Americana Music Association Honors & Awards Show, scheduled for 6:30 PM/CT Wednesday, September 21 at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.  
The Americana Music Association announced this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees. The six honorees will be celebrated at Americana’s 15th Annual Honors & Awards held at the Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, September 21.  The show is the official kick-off the 17th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, held in Nashville on September 20-25, 2016. 
The Americana Music Association is proud to announce this year’s slate of more than 50 panels and workshops with approximately 200 experts representing the best and the brightest in the music business. This year’s Conference will offer once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to hear from artists who have shaped musical history — including Bob Weir, Dwight Yoakam, Jody Stephens, Wanda Jackson and a special presentation by Del McCoury on the legendary Woody Guthrie — and from those currently making history, such as Margo Price, John Paul White, and Lori McKenna.
