The 11th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference will be held September 8th through 11th, 2010 at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel.
Our submission period for 2010 showcases is now closed, having run from Friday, January 15 and runs through Friday, April 30, 2010.
All applicants will be notified by Friday, July 9, 2010 as to whether they've been selected for this year's event.
To give you a glimpse into our process, we received over 800 submissions for the approximately 100 showcase slots available for our 2009 Festival & Conference.

2011 Showcase Selection Process and Frequently Asked Questions
For those of you who are considering submitting materials for our 12th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference in 2011, here's some additional information about the selection process we hope you'll find helpful:
Which genres of music are eligible for showcase consideration?
Genres accepted include Americana, Roots, Alt.country, Folk, Bluegrass and Blues.
How long will I be scheduled to perform?
Most showcases are 45 minutes, although we have a few 30-minute slots. The length depends on the location, time and lineup.
Are showcase artists paid to perform at the Conference?
Showcase artists are provided a modest stipend to help offset travel expenses and also receive ONE full Conference registration, and showcase wristbands for all band members. Discounts are available on additional conference registrations for band members should they wish to purchase them.
Is backline equipment provided?
The AMA provides two quality guitar amps, a bass rig and drum kit with cymbals, while the venues and the Americana Music Association furnish PA and lighting.
How are artists selected?
An objective panel of respected Americana retailers, concert/club promoters and media professionals will review each submission.
When do I find out if my band or I have been chosen?
Now that our 2010 showcase submission process is complete - having run from Friday, January 15 through Friday, April 30, 2010 - all applicants will be notified by Friday, July 9, 2010. The full talent lineups will also be posted here at www.americanamusic.org when they've been finalized and publicized through various press releases. Venues and performance times for each artist will be determined shortly afterwards.
