Each year, the Americana Music Festival & Conference brings together legendary artists and the next generation of rising stars for four days of music and education. Artists like Robert Plant, Emmylou Harris, The Avett Brothers and more have graced the Americana Festival stages, making it both the critics' darling and place where artists want to be.
This year's event takes place from Wednesday, September 8th through Saturday, September 11th, gathering thousands of artists, fans and industry professionals from all over the world in Nashville, TN. With planning already underway, Americanafest promises to once again be the must-attend event for anyone who loves great music.
For four nights, the Americana Music Festival features approximately 100 live performances in the intimate setting of five downtown Nashville clubs. Our capstone event - the Americana Honors & Awards show held at the historically cool Ryman Auditorium on September 9th - is widely considered to be the finest awards show in the land.
"It's great to be considered to be part of the movement that is healthy and has some discrimination." - Robert Plant
By day, the Americana Music Conference features numerous panels, seminars and much more, proudly providing Nashville's most educational music industry forum. This special event covers the interests and needs of artists, managers, labels, radio stations, publishers, agents, promoters, retailers, legal and business affairs executives, merchandisers and new media professionals - all enthusiastically attended by and presented by music industry leaders.
Simply put, the Americana Conference has something for anyone who's passionate about music.
"The shining star of Nashville and music everywhere." - Emmylou Harris
The 2010 Americana Music Festival & Conference will once again be the place to be. Take a look at the list of artists who performed last year, and please stay tuned for announcements on the artists whose performances we'll welcome this year!

The early lineup underscores Americana's perennially formative
place in the world's musical landscape. The genre continues to grow
deeper grassroots and gain industry recognition, including the
inaugural Best Americana Album Grammy, which was presented to Levon Helm for his Electric Dirt album earlier this year.
Please check back for further updates on our 2010 showcase artists. We look forward to seeing you all in September!
