The nominees, winners and honorees will be celebrated September 9, 2010 at the historic Ryman Auditorium during the 9th Annual Americana Music Association's Honors and Awards Show. Hosted by Jim Lauderdale and featuring a band led by Buddy Miller.
Each year we honor distinguished members of the music community with six member voted annual awards and with Lifetime Achievement Awards. The Honors & Awards are attended by 2000+ artists, music loving fans and entertainment industry executives in one of America's musical shrines, the historic Ryman Auditorium. Selected by members of the Americana Music Association, the 2010 nominees reflect the genre's affection for innovative and inspiring artistry. The nominees' eligibility is based on work released between May 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010.
The Honors & Awards have featured many amazing moments over the years including Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash's last live performance together, as well as show-stopping appearances by John Fogerty, Lyle Lovett, Rosanne Cash, Solomon Burke, Old Crow Medicine Show, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, the Avett Brothers, Mavis Staples, Robert Plant, Patty Griffin, Levon Helm, and so many more.
